Netta Cohen, LCSW

Netta is a passionate psychotherapist who earned her Master in Social Work (MSW) from the Smith College School for Social Work and her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Criminology from Western Galilee College, Israel. She most recently worked at Emory University's Counseling Center before moving back to Israel.  Netta has worked with youth and adults to successfully navigate a variety of topics including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, LGBTQ+ identity, trauma, and addiction.

Netta believes that healing and growth happen in the context of healthy, supportive relationships with ourselves and others. She aims to provide a safe environment for clients to explore their life experiences of the past and empower clients to deal with any challenges of today.  She focuses on her clients’ strengths as they develop tools to gain inner peace and satisfaction.  

Netta is influenced by person-centered, psychodynamic, and attachment theories, and has experience with EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and ARC (Attachment, Regulation, Competency). She is welcoming and affirming of diversity and is committed to the values of social justice, humility, and self-determination. Netta finds people fascinating and resilient, and she feels honored to serve people as they navigate life and change.
